Jasper had almost gathered everyone he needed for this diplomatic excursion. While he was happy to bring Pearce along with him he also needed a proper diplomat. Which, while the Prince trusted the mans advise and judgement, was not the Lockheed head of house. His sister however had wound up following in their mothers footsteps. And he knew his father would prefer he have an official diplomat with him to speak with the Lutrians. Also, from his understanding she spoke Lutrian very well and could even read and write it. Which was surprising from a girl who looked so sweet and soft to speak such a...rough language. But having a translator would open up a lot of doors for them. And would hopefully keep things more civil without any sort of hidden messages. So spending some time with Pearce he asked if his sister was home. Seeing as he was already at the manor it would be easier to just speak to her there. Instead of trying to do some formal summoning. He asked a servant to retrieve her for him before he stood with a stretch and moved to look out one of the windows. Had it been warmer outside he might have gone out to the garden. Jasper really did adore Pearce's manor. Persephone von Lockheed

Persephone had been happily sitting in the window seat of the library. A book in her hand and a steaming cup of tea next to her. Other than the garden this was her favorite place in the whole manor. A place where she could quietly read in peace and watch outside as the sky changed and the snow fell. The peace was interrupted when a servant came to speak to her. "My Lady? The prince is here to speak with you."
Persephone's eyes widened a bit in shock. Here to speak to her? She knew that Prince Jasper and brother were close. If he were here to see anyone she expected it to be him. What could he possibly want with her? "Um...alright," she said as she marked her place in her book and set it aside. She swung her legs over and slipped into her shoes again and straightened out her dress before she followed the young woman out. She hadn't even had time to properly prepare herself. Had she been warned perhaps Persephone could have made herself a bit more presentable. Not that there was anything wrong with how she looked now.
She followed the girl down to the room he was in. A ball of anxiety settled heavy in her stomach. Her brother was home wasn't he? Persephone worried she would need him for some kind of feeling of safety. With a soft knock the servant opened the door and announced Persephone's arrival. "Lady Persephone, as you requested, your Highness," she said as the blonde stepped in the room. The servant left as she took a slightly trembling breath. She offered a deep curtsy and kept her eyes on the floor. If just so she could speak.
"Your Highness, what a pleasant surprise," she offered with as she straightened herself again and tucked her hair behind her ear. "What is it I can do for you?"

Jasper turned as he heard the door open and a small, warm smile crossed his lips. She'd changed a bit from the last time he remembered seeing her. "Afternoon, Lady Persephone." He offered as the servant left them alone in the room. From what he could remember she was the nervous type, like her older brother. At least it didn't seem like she had the same stutter that he did.
"I apologize for the sudden calling but I thought I'd go ahead and ask while I was here." Luckily she'd been in the house as well. Though honestly with a woman her age and position he'd expected her to be out. With friends or perhaps seeing her betrothed. Was she betrothed? Well, that part didn't matter. "I don't want to keep you long so I'll get to the point." He stated as he motioned for her to sit down on one of the couches.
"I'm going to be taking a trip to Lutra soon in an attempt to talk to them." Key word in that being attempt. He didn't know how successful that talk would be. "I need a diplomat like yourself to come along and you speak the most Lutrian out of anyone I know."

Persephone didn't get out much. At least not away from the manor grounds. She loved going for walks outside, climbing in the trees, sitting by the water. Rain, snow, or shine Persephone loved to spend as much time outside as she could. She even enjoyed going shopping with October sometimes. There were some days she would go out to brunch with some of her friends or perhaps go out for a walk around the market when it was warm. Or even stroll the palace gardens when she went in. But most of her time was spent at the manor.
She looked up long enough to see him motion for her to sit down. Though she hesitated a bit Persephone moved to the couch and sat anxiously on the edge of one of the cushions. Trying with all her might to give off an air of calm and collected. It was so much easier when she was working. Hearing that the prince planned on going to speak to the former nomads made her eyes widen in surprise and quickly look up at the man.
"I am fluent but what...what is it you wanted to talk to them about?" What was the point of talking to them now? Wasn't it a bit late for that? She supposed perhaps not. They weren't at war just yet but Persephone wasn't sure that they would be willing to listen.
