Personality:
Ryoko has always kept a peacefulness about her. Even when born as a babe, she barely fussed or made a sound. Her father likened her to still water on the surface but it made him fear what lay below. It can be counted on one hand that she's lost her temper since she prefers to keep things calm so as to get a better understanding of the world.

Under the calm, she had tucked away passion that she keeps to herself. She loves to dance on her own and that is the only way she shows any form of other emotions outside of the placid calm that she keeps.

When home with her family, she is a bit warmer and more affection but she does try to keep everyone still at an arms length. Quietly, she fears getting hurt again so she tries to not get close to others anymore so as to protect herself.

History:

Ryoko was born into a prominent family. The Hakim Family is blood-related to the Emperor, they have been staunch supporters of the family line and the laws that come from their ruler. Their family is well known for their vast collection of knowledge that has been used to help school and teach the royal childer outside of their normal tutelage. Male or Female, they all lean on certain areas of knowledge.

As it was normal, from a young age she'd been betrothed to her once husband; Kian Hakim. He was a cousin that she grew up with. At 19(her) and 20 (him) they were married but a short two months later, her husband experienced a riding accident and broke his neck when he was thrown from his horse. They had only been briefly married but they had grown up with one another and had been close. This incident had been one of the few times she had lost control of the balance inside her, resulting in the loss of her early pregnancy.

From the hit of the double loss she experienced, she never looked to another and pushed herself into her work. To hide the look in her eyes, she often was seen now wearing hat veils that covered her up to her shoulders.

Over time the pain in Ryoko's heart healed but she still kept herself covered and calm. Delving into her work to be one of the more prominent tutors of the royal family. She learned how to teach art, dance, mathematics, history, culture, foreign affairs, and languages. Her skills at her age rivaled her father's- he attests it to her mind not being clouded by love or children.

Now, she goes between her home country and Manthir, teaching the royal children and if the royal parents ask; teaching them as well. Oftentimes, when she isn't teaching she is found in a library with her nose in a book or even secretly off dancing when she desires to be alone.
