Amalia was rather good at entertaining herself; be it with her adorable fruit dragon pets; whom were asleep in her room currently or by finding a new book to read. Currently, no book called to her but her favorite stringed instrument, her Yatug-a that was gifted to her by her teacher for how well she had excelled in this instrument that they had. It soothed her and with it being a lovely day in the gardens, she had someone bring her yatug-a out for her sit out here and enjoy herself from the business of inside the castle. Tucking her long hair behind her ear, she placed the finger tip rings on that had the picks and started to pluck away at the strings. As the melody enveloped her, her hair shimmered and changed in colors from warm reds and oranges to yellows. Normally, she kept her emotions pretty well tucked up her sleeve so that it didn't show this way but when it came to music, the princess had trouble hiding it. Her body moved slowly, eyes closed as she was rather absorbed in the music that wafted through the garden and through any open door into the castle.

It was a day off duty for Myron. Not quite feeling the urge to travel into the capital proper he was sort of aimlessly wandering the palace grounds. Even on his days off he found it difficult to rest. It was nice today. So he found himself considering taking one of the horses out for a ride. Or perhaps he would go and see if one of the palace gardeners needed a helping hand. As he walked through the sunlight halls to the palace garden he heard a few gentle notes of music drift through the air. He wondered if it was a court musician or a noble themselves playing the instrument. There weren’t so many opportunities to listen to music for Myron who spent most of his time in the halls or the barracks. So out of curiosity he found himself wandering toward the sound. The garden was beautiful as always. He was a little surprised to find that the music was emanating from not just some noble but the Princess. She was very elegant. Her shifting hair was even more eye-catching than the many flowers of the garden. Myron of course recognized her, it was his job to know such things as a guard of the palace. Also he had served as a personal guard for Jasper so he had seen her on occasion though they had never spoken. She seemed absorbed in her playing. Myron hesitated wondering if he should leave before she had noticed he was there. He didn't want to interrupt her practice and while he might technically be nobility he was about as far down the ladder as was possible. So he felt a bit awkward about being there without a particular purpose. He turned to leave while her eyes were still closed and instead of quietly making his exit tripped over a stray root and fell back on his ass.

At first, she did not feel the eyes on her. Normally the guards looked past her and around- her own personal one was no exception as he looked all around but rarely at her since he was rather used to what she did. From tending to her pets to playing music, he tended to act indifferent about it all and just stood off to the side to keep her safe.
That never bothered her. She liked the false sense of freedom it afforded her since it allowed her to play as if no one watched and she let go of the control of her emotions that she tightly clung to. At least until her guard made a sound that told her she no longer was alone.
Her hair now shifted to a soft blushing pink that matched her cheeks as she continued, her head turning to the side a little, "You may come closer to sit and listen if you like," The Princess said, her head turned slightly but still, she did not see who might be standing off in the distance. If it was a threat, she'd know but inside the safety of the castle walls she truly feared little here.

Myron stood up and dusted himself off. He was surprised with the amount of noise he had made tripping over himself that the princess hadn't noticed. He wasn't exactly far away. He made a concerned face at the complacent if stoic guard. The man didn't seem very alert for someone with a post this close to a royal. He watched the princess' hair and face flush slightly. Was she….upset? He wasn't very good at understanding women. Not that he was very good at judging the expressions of men either and he spent most of his waking time surrounded by only other soldiers. "...only if you like, your highness." He responded in an unsure tone. He felt it was a bit above his station to interrupt the princess practice but it also felt above his station to turn down an offer. In the end he decided it was more impolite to leave now. That and it had been nice music. Myron came a little closer to sit on a bench a little rigidly. "Please, don't pay me any mind, your highness." He added softly not sure where to look and setting on looking at the ground.
