Physical Description: Persephone is a rather petite woman who stands at only 5'2" and weighs roughly 120 pounds. She has long wavy dirty blonde hair that she will occasionally cut to shoulder length. Her eyes are a bright, vibrant blue and become more striking against her fair skin. She's known for having what appears to be a very cold and mean look to her soft face but that's simply her resting expression. Her skin is soft and unmarred by any scars or markings save for one small birthmark on the back of her neck that looks like a heart.

Combat Experience: Persephone has incredibly little combat experience. Beyond being trained in fencing and watching some of her family train for sword fight, fighting isn't her expertise. Apart from formally set up fencing duels she's never personally been involved in a real fight or battle.
Education: Being a noble woman meant that Persephone got some of the best education money could buy. Her father was always concerned with her being a proper lady however, meaning most of her education went towards things like dance, societal interaction, manners, and music. Despite her fathers annoyance much of her interest was in history and language of other cultures. Persephone found herself wanting to follow in her mothers footsteps and became a royal diplomat as well when she passed. Persephone is fluent in reading, speaking, and writing Imperial and Lutrian. She's also a renowned fencer, a beautiful singer, incredible dancer, and one of the best harpist and violinist in Manthir.
Magic: Persephone is not as practiced with her magic as others her age may be. While she's fairly good at keeping her emotions to herself there are still more than enough times her skin will begin to take markings that display her discomfort, her anxiety, her anger, her fear, and her sadness. But it is something she is currently practicing more at and has started to become a bit more proficient at keeping her feelings to herself. As well as keeping markings she would like to keep on her body up longer.
Personality:
Persephone is a quiet young woman who prefers to keep to herself. She wouldn't consider herself shy, she does enjoy a good ball or dinner party. But Persephone finds her greatest comfort in being alone or simply with one or two people she's very close with. One person who's presence never becomes tiring to her is her older brother Pearce. When people first meet Persephone they describe her as cold, uncaring, emotionless but that couldn't be farther from the truth. Persephone is a deeply feeling woman, often known for wearing her heart on her sleeve. She cries and startles easily but also loves and cares for others so strongly it can be a little overwhelming. But Persephone was raised to be a proper lady.
To be seen and not heard. To speak when spoken to. To be soft and kind and small. To not take up too much space because no man would find that attractive. But Persephone found she wanted to take up space. To be loud and proud and seen. But that's still something very hard for her. Persephone is kind and compassionate and does her best to be as helpful as she can be. She's very intelligent and observant. Persephone loves to watch and study others around her. However, apart from fencing, she's very much a lover not a fighter and would rather avoid any kind of conflict she possibly can. Whether that's by talking or running.
History:
Persephone was always a sensitive child growing up. She was born a very small and frail thing with a quiet cry that was barely heard by her nanny. As she got older she began getting more of a personality but that wasn't what her father wanted. He wanted her to remain small and quiet. She wasn't allowed to run around outside and play in the dirt. She wasn't allowed to squeal and scream or cry. She was expected to be the perfect little lady. To not be an embarrassment to her family. Persephone was berated and reprimanded for the smallest step out of line. Some days worse than others when her father felt particularly slighted by the actions of his young daughter. Her entire childhood felt like walking on hot coals.
Most of the abuse she faced was more verbal than physical. He wouldn't want to leave a showing mark on his little girls perfect skin. When Persephone did well her father showered her in praise and affection leaving her only craving more. Believing she only needed to do exactly as she was told to receive the love she needed. Persephone was also however, very quick to take blame for things her siblings did when she could. Especially her sisters. If she could face the ire of their father instead of them she wanted to.
For years her father attempted to marry her to other men. Usually noblemen father older than her but with a high title. Each one treated Persephone just as badly as her own father, if not worse. She would do everything in her power to make the men break off the engagements. From screaming, destroying their clothing, bending their swords, even biting them, anything and everything to make them believe she wasn't a good wife. Which often meant she got to face the wrath of her father for embarrassing him once again.
When her father suddenly died Persephone was flooded with a sea of emotions. Relief, freedom, pain, guilt, joy, and an unbearable sadness. She decided to stay in the estate with her older brother Pearce Lockheed until she is finally married off. But the ordeal of being betrothed on and off in her younger years has left her terrified of most men in general let alone getting married.
