Welcome to Trancers!
Set in an original fantasy world, Trancers takes place in the land of Fjall, a dark world of fluctuating magic, strange beasts, political intrigue, and war.
This is a collaborative writing and world building role-play site focused on developing a shared world and the stories of the characters within. This is intended to be a serious world, so please respect the lore, the characters, and the timeline as such. We are a relaxed roleplaying and writing community with no word count minimum and with player driven plots, setting and lore.
Rules and Expectations
Be kind and respectful. Have fun and help those around you have fun.
Writing: - Rated 3-2-2. This is a mature environment, but please keep things pg-13 on the forum.
- Writing should be third person, past tense.
- There is no word count, but please try to match length with who you are roleplaying with.
- Avoid posting templates for your replies and keep text left-aligned. Colors and bold/italics/underlining for dialogue and other text emphasis is fine, just not for everything. This ensures readability.
Activity:
- There are currently no regular activity checks. Any checks will be announced on site. Posting at least once a month per character account is encouraged.
- Inactive characters will be archived. Canon roles will be transitioned to an active character (or rped as minimally as possible as an NPC until the role is able to be transitioned in a way that makes sense in world). Members will be warned before this happens.
- More information pending.
The site runs on liquid time with no set season change. Overall time will progress as plots generally do. Setting threads in the past is allowed as long as you make a note of such. You may have a character in multiple threads at once, but try to ensure the timeline makes sense. Do not make threads that purposefully contradict others and do your best to work together.
There is a three strike system for warnings. The member will be contacted privately with an explanation. The third strike is a ban, but the length will be determined by the offense. Discussion on such topics is always open.

Joining Trancers!
We look forward to you joining us! Please make your user/Out of Character (OOC) account first before any character accounts. This is the name you as the player will be referred to. This account will be used for maintenance tasks such as activity checks, wanted ads, trackers, suggesting lore and so on.
Each character should have a separate account with the account name being the character's first name only. No surnames. Usernames should consist only of letters.
Currently, members can make up to ten characters. Characters beyond this amount require all previous characters be active, have made at least 10 posts, and have at least one active thread. You can retire a character at any time, just inform staff when you do.
To have a character approved, fill out and post a character application. If you don't finish, please put WIP in the title so staff knows the character is a work in progress.

Discord
Our Discord is located here. The same rules apply there. The discord is a place for socializing and discussing the site. Smaller announcements will be shared there, while larger ones will go on site as well. Come join us!
Images
Trancers uses a number of different sized images for character profiles.
- Application - this image can be any size, provided the width is no more than 600 pixels
- Avatar - this is 150x150 and can be a .gif if you like
- Mini Profile
- Main - The larger image is 220x350 - no .gifs
- Small - The smaller image is 220x120 and can also be a .gif
Pinterest is a great resource to make an aesthetics board for your characters.
Imgur is great for hosting images, among other places.
